Tablescape Tuesday

She gets up while it is still dark; She provides food for her family.  Proverbs 31:15

Well, okay maybe this is a stretch, I didn't actually get up before dark, and I didn't actually provide food for my family, but I did make a gorgeous tablescape.  Hope you enjoy!

While vacationing on the lake, my son fished nonstop.  Since I wanted to join him but fishing is not exactly my thing, I thought I would do the next best thing...

A FISH INSPIRED TABLESCAPE

The lake just seemed like the perfect location for this tablescape.

It did not matter where we sat, the views were spectacular.

I found these adorable plates while on vacation, and very cheap (bonus).

I love the whimsical pattern.

The perfect bowl to hold Goldfish crackers.  I know its cheesy, actually it's cheddar cheesy.

Such adorable salt and pepper shakers.  My husband couldn't seem to understand why I needed salt and pepper shakers while in vacation.  Men! they just don't have a clue, it made perfect sense to me.

Another view

 and another...

Disclaimer: No fish were harmed in the creation of this blog.  All fishing at the campground is catch and release.

Hope you enjoyed this tablescape, now go out and create something beautiful today.

Its All About The Family

This is my inaugral post to Prothirty One.  The name of this blog comes from the the book of Proverbs from the Bible.  It is a passage taken from Proverbs 31:10-31.  I can think of no better way to start a new blog than by posting about the family.

My husband comes from a very large family and most of them live in Illinois so recently we drove our motorhome to spend some time with the Taylor clan.

I saw this on the wall at my aunt's house and can think of no better way to sum up the feelings of this group.

My husbands family consists of many many aunts and uncles, to say which one I love the most would be like asking me which one of my children I love the most.  It is impossible.  Let me introduce you to a few member of my family.  This is Lynn O'Hara.

Aunt Benita and my mother-in-law Geneva

This is me with my uncle Kieth and Lyle
Donna and her husband Raymond.  I hve no idea why her eyes are closed I think she figured if she couldn't see the camera then we wouldn't take the picture...wrong!
This is "Shorty" I don't know why they call him that he seemed pretty tall to me.
Uncle Buddy

This is Lynn's beloved Kenny.
Mary Bell and Dianne.  I had to sneak a picture of Mary into this blog although I don't know why I think she is beautiful.  Luckily she didn't fall for the "if I keep my eyes closed the camera can't see me trick"
My brother-in-law Mike and his wife Angie
Finally, a non uncle or aunt.  This is Kurt his wife lori and their daughter Alyssa

Uncle Bob and his wife Hazel.  The day before they had just celebrated their 50th anniverary.
Another cousin Ryan and his new bride Jessica.  Welcome to the family.

Just some of the cousins that were present.  The grouchy looking teen in the ball hat is my son Garrett.

This is MY beloved Randy and was born into this great big family.  So not only did I get a wonderful man to spend the rest of my life with I also inherited a wonderful collection of the best people on this planet.  Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this family
